Description

A delightfully creamy and cheesy dish that elevates classic mac and cheese with a rich blend of five different cheeses, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups elbow macaroni
  • 3/8 cup butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Stir in all the cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, blue cheese) until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil. Sprinkle over the macaroni and cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
