A delicious and easy dish combining the sweetness of honey and savory garlic with tender pieces of steak, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
- Place the steak bites in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic mixture over them. Stir to coat the steak evenly.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the steak is tender.
- If desired, mix the cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the slow cooker for the last 30 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Make sure to cut the steak into even bite-sized pieces for even cooking. Marinate the steak for extra flavor, and use different cuts of beef or chicken as variations.
