Description

A delicious and hearty taco soup made in a slow cooker, perfect for busy days and customizable with your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 315 oz cans chili beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a pan, brown the beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion to the pan and cook until fragrant.
  3. Stir in 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning and mix well.
  4. Transfer the seasoned beef to the crock pot.
  5. Add the chili beans, tomato sauce, water, and diced tomatoes to the crock pot.
  6. Sprinkle in the remaining taco seasoning.
  7. Cover and cook in the crock pot for 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.
  8. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
  9. Before serving, sprinkle extra cheese and sour cream on top if desired.

Notes

Add toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocados, or chopped cilantro for extra flavor.
