Description
A delicious and hearty taco soup made in a slow cooker, perfect for busy days and customizable with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 – 15 oz cans chili beans
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 2-3 tablespoons taco seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a pan, brown the beef over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion to the pan and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning and mix well.
- Transfer the seasoned beef to the crock pot.
- Add the chili beans, tomato sauce, water, and diced tomatoes to the crock pot.
- Sprinkle in the remaining taco seasoning.
- Cover and cook in the crock pot for 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.
- Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
- Before serving, sprinkle extra cheese and sour cream on top if desired.
Notes
Add toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocados, or chopped cilantro for extra flavor.
