Description
Delicious and healthy chicken burgers packed with spinach and white cheddar.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 burger buns
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into four portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the buns, making an indentation in the center of each.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Cook patties for 5 to 6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Transfer cooked patties to a plate and let rest for 3 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers on buns with desired toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
For added moisture, consider mixing in yogurt or sour cream. You can customize the greens and even swap ground chicken for ground turkey.
