Description

A fun and engaging sensory play activity that allows kids to create fluffy, snow-like foam for imaginative play.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups foam shaving cream
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • Optional: a few drops of peppermint extract or essential oil
  • Optional: glitter or snowflake confetti
  • A shallow tray or bin for play


Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients with a mixing bowl and a shallow tray or bin ready for play.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add 2 cups of foam shaving cream.
  3. Slowly fold in 1/2 cup of baking soda into the shaving cream, using a spatula or spoon to gently combine.
  4. Stir until the mixture becomes thick, fluffy, and resembles snow.
  5. If desired, add a few drops of peppermint extract or essential oil and mix well.
  6. For added fun, sprinkle in some glitter or snowflake confetti and mix again.
  7. Transfer the snow foam mixture to your sensory bin or tray.
  8. Encourage kids to explore the foam with spoons, scoops, or small toys.
  9. If any leftovers remain, store them in an airtight container for up to 1 day and remix before reuse.

Notes

Use a large mixing bowl to prevent mess while combining ingredients. Adjust the amount of baking soda for different textures. Choose appealing scents and colors to engage your child.
