Description

Delicious, light, and fluffy baked goods perfect for breakfast or a snack. Customizable with different flavors and toppings.


Ingredients

  • 10 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 10 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 cups of amasi
  • 500 grams of Rama/Woodenspoon
  • 1 cup of vanilla custard (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Cut in the Rama/Woodenspoon until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the amasi until just combined.
  5. If using, fold in the vanilla custard.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  7. Roll out to about 1 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store scones in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for up to two months.
