Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and salt, cooking until the gravy thickens.
- Spread the biscuits in a pie dish, pour the gravy and sausage mixture over them, and top with the remaining biscuit dough.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, use maple-flavored sausage or add spices. You can customize the recipe with ground turkey or vegetarian sausage and different cheeses.
