A fun and easy recipe for making colorful and stretchy saltwater slime perfect for sensory play.
Ingredients
- 1 (4 oz) bottle of clear school glue
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp sea salt or table salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Blue food coloring or liquid watercolor
- 1 tbsp saline solution (contact lens solution with boric acid)
- Optional: glitter, mini seashells, plastic ocean animals, blue beads
Instructions
- Pour the clear school glue into a mixing bowl. Add warm water and blue food coloring. Stir until well combined.
- Add sea salt and baking soda to the glue mixture. Stir until dissolved and smooth.
- Gradually add saline solution while mixing, kneading with your hands until the slime forms and pulls away from the bowl.
- Mix in optional items like glitter and mini seashells for added texture.
- Spoon the finished slime into a plastic sensory tray or shallow bin for play.
Notes
Store slime in an airtight container to keep it fresh for a week or two. If it becomes sticky, add a little more saline solution.
