Description

A delightful sweet potato casserole topped with a crunchy pecan and graham cracker mixture, perfect for holidays and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked sweet potato
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and crushed graham crackers. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the sweet potato filling.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden and the filling is set.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a twist, add mini marshmallows on top of the pecan mixture before baking.
