A delightful sweet potato casserole topped with a crunchy pecan and graham cracker mixture, perfect for holidays and family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked sweet potato
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, and crushed graham crackers. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the sweet potato filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden and the filling is set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a twist, add mini marshmallows on top of the pecan mixture before baking.
