Description

A fun twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich, featuring hearty pasta, ground beef or steak, and loads of cheese.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, and sauté until they are soft.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the ground beef or steak, cooking until browned.
  5. Stir in the beef broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, mixing well.
  7. Stir in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For spicier variation, add jalapeños. Substitute ground beef with chicken or turkey for a leaner option.
