Description
A fun twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich, featuring hearty pasta, ground beef or steak, and loads of cheese.
Ingredients
- 12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, and sauté until they are soft.
- Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the ground beef or steak, cooking until browned.
- Stir in the beef broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, mixing well.
- Stir in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For spicier variation, add jalapeños. Substitute ground beef with chicken or turkey for a leaner option.
