Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it holds together.
  6. Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flaky biscuits, fold the dough a couple of times before cutting.
