Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it holds together.
- Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flaky biscuits, fold the dough a couple of times before cutting.
