Description

A delicious and comforting one-pot pasta dish featuring smoky sausage and creamy cheddar cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz pasta (such as penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the pasta, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier version, choose a spicy smoked sausage or add red pepper flakes.
