Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz pasta of choice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the pasta, chicken broth, and heavy cream.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Can add favorite vegetables or use different types of sausage for variety. For a lighter version, replace heavy cream with half-and-half or non-dairy milk.
