Description

A creamy and flavorful dish with garlic, butter, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional toppings: fresh parsley, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the dry ditalini pasta and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream, butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, topped with additional Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. Add veggies like spinach or cherry tomatoes for color.
