Description

A delicious and easy dish that combines simple ingredients for a creamy and flavorful pasta experience, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional toppings: fresh parsley, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the dry ditalini pasta and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked al dente, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

Make sure to stir the pasta occasionally while it simmers to prevent sticking. For a richer flavor, use a good-quality chicken broth. If you want more veggies, consider adding spinach or peas during the last few minutes of cooking.
