- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 3–4 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional toppings: fresh parsley, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the dry ditalini pasta and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked al dente, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan, fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
Make sure to stir the pasta occasionally while it simmers to prevent sticking. For a richer flavor, use a good-quality chicken broth. If you want more veggies, consider adding spinach or peas during the last few minutes of cooking.
