Description
A fun science experiment that creates a fizzy eruption resembling a mini volcano, perfect for kids and adults.
Ingredients
- 1 clear jar or glass container
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- Red food coloring (for lava effect)
- A few drops of dish soap
- Small funnel (optional)
- Tray or towel (to catch spills)
Instructions
- Place the baking soda into the bottom of the jar.
- In a separate cup, mix vinegar, red food coloring, and a few drops of dish soap.
- Slowly pour the vinegar mixture into the jar with baking soda and watch the fizzy ‘lava’ erupt!
- Once the reaction stops, you can add more vinegar mixture to erupt again.
Notes
Use a clear jar for better visibility of the reaction and experiment with different colors of food coloring for varying effects.
