Description

A fun and colorful cocktail that combines the flavors of Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 ounce coconut rum
  • 1 ounce cream of coconut
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 ounce light rum
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce strawberry syrup or purée
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup ice


Instructions

  1. Blend the Piña Colada Layer by combining coconut rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy. Pour into a serving glass and freeze for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Blend the Strawberry Daiquiri Layer by rinsing the blender and adding light rum, lime juice, strawberry syrup (or purée), sugar (if using), and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy.
  3. Layer the drink by removing the glass from the freezer and slowly pouring the strawberry mixture over the back of a spoon to create layers. For a marbled look, gently swirl with a straw.
  4. Garnish and serve with a strawberry, pineapple wedge, or cocktail umbrella. Serve immediately with a wide straw.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness to your liking with sugar. Best enjoyed fresh but layers can be prepared in advance.
