A fun and colorful cocktail that combines the flavors of Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce coconut rum
- 1 ounce cream of coconut
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 cup ice
- 1 ounce light rum
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce strawberry syrup or purée
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
- Blend the Piña Colada Layer by combining coconut rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy. Pour into a serving glass and freeze for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Blend the Strawberry Daiquiri Layer by rinsing the blender and adding light rum, lime juice, strawberry syrup (or purée), sugar (if using), and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy.
- Layer the drink by removing the glass from the freezer and slowly pouring the strawberry mixture over the back of a spoon to create layers. For a marbled look, gently swirl with a straw.
- Garnish and serve with a strawberry, pineapple wedge, or cocktail umbrella. Serve immediately with a wide straw.
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness to your liking with sugar. Best enjoyed fresh but layers can be prepared in advance.
