A fun and vibrant drink that combines Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri, perfect for hot days and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce coconut rum
- 1 ounce cream of coconut
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 cup ice
- 1 ounce light rum
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce strawberry syrup or puree
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
- Blend the Piña Colada Layer: In a blender, combine coconut rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and ice. Blend until smooth. Pour this mixture into your glass and place it in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Rinse the Blender: After freezing the Piña Colada layer, rinse the blender to prepare for the next layer.
- Blend the Strawberry Daiquiri Layer: Add light rum, lime juice, strawberry syrup or puree, sugar, and ice into the blender. Blend until it becomes smooth and slushy.
- Combine the Layers: Take your glass out of the freezer. Carefully spoon or pour the strawberry mixture over the frozen Piña Colada layer. For a marbled look, gently swirl the two layers together.
- Garnish and Serve: Add a fresh strawberry, a pineapple wedge, or a cocktail umbrella for decoration. Serve immediately with a wide straw.
