Description

Create vibrant and colorful melted bead suncatchers to brighten your windows and spaces.

Ingredients

  • Translucent plastic pony beads (variety of colors)
  • Metal baking molds, muffin tins, or cookie cutters
  • Aluminum foil or metal baking sheet
  • Drill or small nail (for making holes)
  • Fishing line, string, or ribbon (for hanging)
  • Oven and well-ventilated space
  • Optional: oven thermometer for accuracy

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange the translucent plastic pony beads in the metal baking molds, muffin tins, or cookie cutters. Fill each mold with beads until they are close to the top.
  3. Place the molds on an aluminum foil-lined metal baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes, or until the beads are completely melted.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  6. Use a drill or small nail to make holes for hanging before the beads harden completely.
  7. Once cool, carefully remove the suncatchers from the molds.
  8. Attach fishing line, string, or ribbon for hanging.
  9. Enjoy your colorful melted bead suncatchers in a sunny window.

Notes

For best results, watch the beads closely during baking to prevent burning. Experiment with different colors and shapes for unique designs. Store in a cool, dry place to maintain their appearance.
