Description

A comforting and hearty dish that combines juicy meatballs with creamy mashed potatoes, topped with melted cheese and savory gravy.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or homemade meatballs, fully cooked
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes, freshly made or leftovers
  • 1 1/2 cups brown gravy, homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a baking dish, spread the fully cooked meatballs evenly.
  3. Pour the brown gravy over the meatballs.
  4. Spread the mashed potatoes over the meatballs and gravy, smoothing them out.
  5. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Optional: Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add garlic powder or cheese into the mashed potatoes. For a crispy topping, broil the bake for the last 2-3 minutes.
