A fun and tasty twist on the classic breakfast sandwich featuring fluffy pancakes, savory sausage, and melting cheese in bite-sized pieces.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Hungry Jack pancake mix
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once cooked, drain the grease and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the water and pancake mix to prepare the batter.
- Stir in the cooked sausage, cheddar cheese, and maple syrup until well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Grease a mini muffin pan and fill each cup nearly to the top with the batter.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with extra maple syrup for dipping.
Notes
Grease the muffin pan well to prevent sticking. Consider adding other ingredients for variety, such as bacon or different types of cheese.
