Description

A fun and simple craft project to create a charming mini aquarium using a mason jar.


Ingredients

  • Mason jar with lid
  • Aquarium rocks or marbles
  • Blue food coloring
  • Plastic fish
  • Aquarium plant
  • Fishing line
  • Water
  • Hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks


Instructions

  1. Start by dropping a small handful of aquarium rocks or marbles into the bottom of the mason jar.
  2. Place the aquarium plant among the rocks, arranging it to your liking. Add a dot of hot glue if necessary to secure the base of the plant to the rocks.
  3. In a separate container, add blue food coloring to 2 cups of water and stir until well mixed.
  4. Pour the blue water into the mason jar over the rocks and plant.
  5. Take two pieces of fishing line and tie one to the front of the plastic fish and the other around its tail.
  6. Attach the ends of the fishing line to the inside of the mason jar lid using hot glue to hold them in place.
  7. Put the lid on the mason jar and tighten it to ensure it fits snugly.
  8. Apply hot glue around the lid ring and screw it onto the jar to keep it securely closed.

Choose colorful rocks for a vibrant look and experiment with different types of fish and plants for various themes.
