Description

Delightful biscuits combining zesty lemon-lime flavors with fluffy, buttery goodness. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick salted butter (1/2 cup)
  • 4 1/2 cups Bisquick or similar baking mix
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (such as 7 Up or Sprite)
  • 1 cup sour cream (not light or reduced fat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven. Remove it but keep the oven preheated.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick, lemon-lime soda, and sour cream. Stir gently until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. If it’s too sticky, add more Bisquick one tablespoon at a time.
  5. Pat or roll the dough into a 1 inch thick circle.
  6. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter or glass about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  7. Place each biscuit into the melted butter in the baking dish.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  9. Let the biscuits sit in the pan for 2-3 minutes before serving to soak up the melted butter. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm for the best experience. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for longer storage.
