A comforting one-pan meal made with ground beef, green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and melted cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup French fried onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain off any excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven, top with French fried onions, and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until the onions are golden and crispy.
Notes
Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or peas, and experiment with different cheeses for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
