Description

A simple yet delicious dish combining shrimp, garlic, and creamy sauce over pasta, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • Salt, for the pasta water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp sauce and toss to coat.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Do not overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture. Adjust the spice level based on preference.
