Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the warm water to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Flatten each ball into a circle.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry each dough circle for 2–3 minutes on each side until puffed and golden brown.
- Drain the cooked frybread on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
Serve frybread plain, with sugar, honey, or topped with savory ingredients. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze wrapped in foil.
