Ingredients
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Push the onions to the side and add the chicken to the pan. Cook until browned.
- Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and cover until melted.
- Serve warm with gravy over chicken.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine after browning the chicken. Consider adding cream for a creamier consistency.
