Description
Crispy shrimp wrapped in wonton wrappers and fried to golden perfection, seasoned with bold flavors for a delightful appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut oil)
Instructions
- Marinate shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, soy sauce, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
- Wrap one shrimp diagonally in a wonton wrapper. Brush edges with egg, fold over, and roll tightly to seal.
- Fry in 2 inches of hot oil, 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels or a rack.
- Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, spicy mayo, or soy sauce.
Notes
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying. Try different spices in the marinade for unique flavors.
