Description

Crispy shrimp wrapped in wonton wrappers and fried to golden perfection, seasoned with bold flavors for a delightful appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined (tails on)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut oil)


Instructions

  1. Marinate shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, soy sauce, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  2. Wrap one shrimp diagonally in a wonton wrapper. Brush edges with egg, fold over, and roll tightly to seal.
  3. Fry in 2 inches of hot oil, 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels or a rack.
  4. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, spicy mayo, or soy sauce.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying. Try different spices in the marinade for unique flavors.
