Ingredients

  • 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
  • Eggs (as required by cake mix)
  • Oil (as required by cake mix)
  • Water (as required by cake mix)
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Candy melts (various colors)
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)
  • Lollipop sticks


Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl.
  3. Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Insert lollipop sticks into the center of each cake ball.
  6. Freeze the cake pops for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
  7. Melt the candy melts according to the package instructions.
  8. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy and allow the excess to drip off.
  9. Place the cake pops back on the baking sheet and decorate with sprinkles before the coating sets.
  10. Let the cake pops cool completely, then serve and enjoy!
