Description

Ingredients

  • Clear plastic jar or bottle (with tight-fitting lid)
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil or baby oil
  • Food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Funnel (optional)
  • Spoon or craft stick (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bottle: Clean and dry your clear plastic jar or bottle.
  2. Add the Water: Fill the jar about 1/3 of the way with water.
  3. Add Food Coloring: Add a few drops of food coloring for each color of the rainbow, stirring gently.
  4. Add the Oil: Fill the remaining space in the jar with vegetable or baby oil, watching it float on top.
  5. Add Glitter (Optional): Sprinkle a small amount of glitter into the bottle.
  6. Seal and Shake: Close the lid tightly and give the jar a gentle shake.
  7. Enjoy the Sensory Experience: Hold and shake the jar to see the colors mix and separate.
