Description

A hearty and comforting casserole combining ground beef and green beans, ideal for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can green beans (drained)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: crispy fried onions, potato chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain the excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked beef, drained green beans, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  5. Optional: add crispy fried onions or potato chips on top for crunch.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use lean ground beef and low-sodium cream soup. Can be prepared in advance and baked before serving.
