A hearty and comforting casserole combining ground beef and green beans, ideal for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can green beans (drained)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: crispy fried onions, potato chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain the excess grease.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked beef, drained green beans, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Optional: add crispy fried onions or potato chips on top for crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, use lean ground beef and low-sodium cream soup. Can be prepared in advance and baked before serving.
