Deep Hamburger Sausage Pepperoni Pie

Description

A delicious, hearty dish combining classic pizza flavors with the comfort of a pie, perfect for family dinners or parties.


Ingredients

  • Ready-bake pie crusts
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup pepperoni
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp melted butter


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and let the meats cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C (428 degrees F).
  3. Roll out one pie crust and press it into a deep-dish pie pan. Spread half the mozzarella over the crust.
  4. Layer the cooled meat mixture over the cheese and add half the pepperoni.
  5. Pour pizza sauce over the meat and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Add remaining mozzarella and Cheddar or provolone cheese, and top with remaining pepperoni.
  7. Place the second pie crust over the filling, trim and crimp the edges, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

This pie can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in a 175 degrees C (350 degrees F) oven for 15 minutes.
