A delightful dish bringing together crispy potatoes and flavorful beef, perfect for family dinners or casual get-togethers.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced into thick rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced


Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, season the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Fry the potatoes in the hot oil until golden and crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  5. Add the sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned.
  6. Add soy sauce, cornstarch, and the remaining black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  8. Serve the beef mixture over the crispy potatoes.

Notes

You can customize the vegetables and use chicken or pork instead of beef if preferred.
