Creamy Seafood Lasagna with Shrimp & Crab

Description

This delightful lasagna combines shrimp and crab with layers of creamy Alfredo sauce, making it a festive dish perfect for seafood lovers.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in the crab meat, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, and cook for another 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, heavy cream, and chopped parsley. Mix until creamy and smooth.
  5. Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Add a layer of noodles, then spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture, top with 1/3 of the seafood, and drizzle with Alfredo sauce. Repeat this two more times, finishing with noodles and a final layer of Alfredo sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella, Parmesan, and breadcrumbs on top for a golden crust.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.
  8. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For additional creaminess, mix cream cheese with ricotta. You can also substitute seafood varieties for greater flavor.
