Ingredients

  • 12 oz elbow macaroni or cavatappi pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni or cavatappi according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens.
  4. Reduce heat and add cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted.
  5. Mix in honey and pepper. Then, add the cooked pasta and shredded chicken, stirring to combine.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
