A delicious and comforting dish that combines pasta with hearty ground beef, perfect for family dinners and potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounces)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices), cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley for added flavor. Pairs well with a salad or garlic bread.
