Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounces)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices), cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley for added flavor. Pairs well with a salad or garlic bread.
