A comforting dish combining ground beef with a creamy sauce and tender penne pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta until al dente, then drain and set it aside.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Season with onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let it simmer.
  5. Mix in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding cooked vegetables like bell peppers or spinach. You can also use different types of pasta or protein.
