Description

A comforting casserole combining tender cabbage, savory ground beef, and creamy cheese, perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, draining excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until it starts to soften, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream, then add paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or crusty bread. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.
