Description

A comforting casserole combining ground beef and creamy cabbage, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in the chopped cabbage, cooking until it begins to soften, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and add paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Pairs nicely with crusty bread or a simple salad. Add a dollop of sour cream on top for extra creaminess.
