Ingredients
- 3-4 inch containers
- Plastic wrap
- Water
- Powdered tempura paint
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Squirt bottle
Instructions
- Fill your containers with water, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and secure lids.
- Freeze until solid, about 4-6 hours.
- Remove lids and plastic wrap, gently pop out the colorful ice disks.
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of powdered tempura paint and 1 or more tablespoons of baking soda to each disk.
- Line the colorful ice disks up in a row.
- Use a squirt bottle to douse the colorful eruptions with vinegar.
Notes
Use a variety of colors for more vibrant eruptions. Conduct the experiment outside to avoid mess.
