Sweet, chewy treats made with shredded coconut and topped with a chocolate kiss.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Chocolate kisses for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop to form small mounds of the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes, then gently press a chocolate kiss into the center of each macaroon.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
