Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- Extra melted butter and sweetened condensed milk for brushing
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, warm milk, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Add the softened butter and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise again until it rises above the edge of the pan.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush the loaf with melted butter and sweetened condensed milk before baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let cool before slicing.

Store covered in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to 3 months.
