Create stunning suncatchers using pressed flowers and clear glue for a colorful window display.
Ingredients
- Clear school glue
- Plastic lid or clear acetate sheet
- Pressed flowers
- Wax paper or parchment paper
- String or suction cup hook
- Scissors
- Optional: Tissue paper scraps, glitter, sequins, dried leaves, black marker or cardstock
Instructions
- Prepare your work area by covering the table with wax paper and placing the plastic lid or acetate sheet on top.
- Squeeze the clear glue onto the lid or acetate and spread it evenly to a thickness of about 3-5 mm.
- Arrange the pressed flower petals or blooms on the glue in a design, pressing the flowers flat into the glue.
- Optionally, sprinkle in tissue paper scraps, glitter, or sequins and add dried leaves.
- Seal the design with a thin layer of glue, coating the flowers completely.
- Let it dry flat for 24-48 hours.
- Once dry, peel the suncatcher from the lid or acetate and trim the edges.
- For hanging, punch a hole and loop string through it or use a suction cup hook.
Notes
Store your suncatcher in a cool, dry place to avoid damage. Use a variety of colors for a vibrant design.
