Description

Create stunning suncatchers using pressed flowers and clear glue for a colorful window display.

Ingredients

  • Clear school glue
  • Plastic lid or clear acetate sheet
  • Pressed flowers
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • String or suction cup hook
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Tissue paper scraps, glitter, sequins, dried leaves, black marker or cardstock

Instructions

  1. Prepare your work area by covering the table with wax paper and placing the plastic lid or acetate sheet on top.
  2. Squeeze the clear glue onto the lid or acetate and spread it evenly to a thickness of about 3-5 mm.
  3. Arrange the pressed flower petals or blooms on the glue in a design, pressing the flowers flat into the glue.
  4. Optionally, sprinkle in tissue paper scraps, glitter, or sequins and add dried leaves.
  5. Seal the design with a thin layer of glue, coating the flowers completely.
  6. Let it dry flat for 24-48 hours.
  7. Once dry, peel the suncatcher from the lid or acetate and trim the edges.
  8. For hanging, punch a hole and loop string through it or use a suction cup hook.

Notes

Store your suncatcher in a cool, dry place to avoid damage. Use a variety of colors for a vibrant design.
