Cinnamon Glazed Apple Fritter Bites

Description

Delightful bites combining warm cinnamon and apples, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray (for greasing the muffin tin)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1-2 tbsp milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
  6. Spoon the batter into the greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While they bake, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  9. Once the fritter bites are cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
  10. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for a week.
