Delightful bites combining warm cinnamon and apples, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.
Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray (for greasing the muffin tin)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1-2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Spoon the batter into the greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- While they bake, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once the fritter bites are cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Best served warm. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for a week.
