A comforting dish of tender chicken wrapped in flaky rolls, served with a rich creamy Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 1/4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Spoon the chicken filling onto each triangle, then fold and seal the edges to create ‘pillows’.
- Place the pillows on the prepared baking sheet and brush them with melted butter.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown.
- For the creamy Parmesan sauce, warm the heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and stir.
- Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the warm sauce over the chicken pillows.
Notes
Use leftover rotisserie chicken for quicker prep. Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy mixing. Don’t overfill to prevent leaks. Add veggies for extra nutrition.
