Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with chocolate batter, add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture, and then top with more chocolate batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
