Description

A simple and comforting casserole that combines pizza and pasta with cheese and pepperoni, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 jar (24 oz) pizza sauce
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, pizza sauce, sliced pepperoni, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir until coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and Italian cheese blend.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and serve warm.

Notes
