Delicious and comforting biscuits packed with savory cheddar cheese and ham, perfect for any meal of the day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup salted butter


Instructions

  1. Prep your pan by spraying your glass or ceramic baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients by combining flour, sugar, and baking powder in a mixing bowl and whisking together.
  3. Add the wet ingredients by pouring in the buttermilk and stirring until the dough looks sticky and thick.
  4. Fold in mix-ins by adding diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese, folding until evenly spread.
  5. Melt the butter and pour the melted butter into your prepared baking dish.
  6. Spread the biscuit dough over the melted butter, pressing it out evenly.
  7. Score the dough into nine squares for easy serving.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  9. Check for doneness; biscuits are ready when golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Let the biscuits cool for a few minutes, then re-cut and serve warm.
