Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Stir until well combined and the dough is thick.
- Fold in the toffee bits and chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top of the dough.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and set in the middle. Check by inserting a toothpick; it should come out mostly clean with a few crumbs.
- Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice into squares.
