Description

A hearty and nutritious one-skillet meal combining tender cabbage with savory ground beef and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon bouillon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for about 3 minutes until onions are tender.
  3. Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until it begins to wilt.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, bouillon powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or oregano. This dish is also suitable for meal prep.
